Ignite for Ages 13 – 16: Saturday Morning Class

The first half of the year will have students developing advanced performance techniques in a stimulating and motivating environment. In Term 1, participants will explore character analysis, script interpretation, emotional range, ensemble dynamics, and stagecraft, experimenting with a variety of dramatic styles and storytelling methods. In Term 2, the group will collaborate to create original scenes, refine dialogue, integrate theatrical conventions, and prepare material for the Annual Showcase later in the year, applying their skills in a real performance setting. Through creative challenges, scene work, and guided exploration, Ignite encourages young actors to take risks, expand their abilities, and discover new ways to bring stories to life on stage.

Ready to get involved? Term 1 kicks off in early February and runs until end of March. Then, Term 2 starts in early May and wraps up in late June. Both terms close with Open Studio sessions where family and friends get to attend a workshop and witness the magic.
