Starting Out for Ages 5 – 8: Saturday Afternoon Class

During the second half of the year, our young performers will take their skills to the next level as they leap from the stage to the screen! Term 3 is all about the spotlight as students dive headfirst into creating, refining, and polishing their original material for the highly anticipated Annual Showcase at the end of the term. In a collaborative and supportive environment, they will bring characters to life and experience the thrill of performing for a live audience.

Once the curtain falls, Term 4 shifts gears to focus on the exciting world of screen acting. Students will explore the unique skills needed for the camera, from understanding frames and playing with close-ups to mastering the subtle art of on-camera storytelling. Through high-energy games and hands-on activities, Semester 2 continues to nurture confidence, teamwork, and self-expression, giving students the perfect space to shine both on stage and on screen!

Ready to join the fun? Term 3 kicks off in late July and runs until mid-September, with the Annual Showcase taking place on Saturday, 19 September. Then, Term 4 starts in mid-October and wraps up in early December, closing with an Open Studio session showcasing their screen skills to family and friends.
