Marking the apex of the 2026 PYO Academy, this program will showcase the talent of local students who have been mentored by the world-renowned Australian Chamber Orchestra.
This radiant program features Grieg’s timeless Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, which tells of the Norwegian folk hero who leaves home to seek his fortune. Originally composed as incidental music to Ibsen’s 1867 play, Grieg’s Peer Gynt is today recognised as a true masterpiece in the orchestral canon.
