Blue Mountains singer-songwriter Jerrah Patston premieres new material at The Joan in Penrith, developed in collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO).
Jerrah Patston and the Australian Chamber Orchestra first collaborated in a sold-out performance at ACO On The Pier in 2025. Since then, they have been hard at work creating inventive new arrangements for Jerrah’s latest collection of songs.
The new works will feature on Jerrah’s upcoming fourth LP, tentatively titled Pipe Majors*. The songs include beautiful travelogues such as Ballina and Simple Machine, character studies including Renae and Riding On A Plane, and classic slices of everyday life such as Storms Are Really Annoying, You Can Swim In Different Ways and New Year’s Eve.
Jerrah Patston and Club Weld
Jerrah works with songwriting collaborator Sam Worrad at Club Weld, a studio for neurodiverse musicians located at ACE in Parramatta. The Penrith performance will feature guest appearances from emerging Club Weld artists, including neo-classical composer Patrick Li, pop creator Jonathan Yung and electronic musician Jessie Walsh.
Jerrah Patston has recorded at the Sydney Opera House, performed live at festivals, appeared on Get Down With Sean & Marley, performed for Governor-General Sam Mostyn and provided music for the “one take romcom” Head Over Wheels and children’s program Cool Stuff With Fizzy & Suds.
