The Joan is expanding its pool of enthusiastic and customer-focused Front-of-House (FoH) staff.

Our FoH team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our patrons. As the first point of contact for audiences attending performances, events and functions, you will help create a welcoming, safe and memorable environment for our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patrons and provide outstanding customer service
  • Assist with ticket scanning and ushering duties
  • Support patrons with seating and venue enquiries
  • Operate bar facilities and handle point-of-sale transactions
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol in line with RSA requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of foyer and bar areas
  • Monitor audience behaviour to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies, including providing First Aid where required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and venue staff to deliver seamless event operations

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Essential Requirements:

  • Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Previous bar and/or hospitality experience (preferred)

Applicants must hold a current RSA, First Aid Certificate and NSW Working With Children Check, along with previous bar or hospitality experience and/or demonstrated experience in a similar customer-facing role.
