Digital Marketing Coordinator (Social, Content, Paid Media)

Penrith Performing & Visual Arts | Full-Time | Penrith, Western Sydney

Penrith Performing & Visual Arts runs four venues across Western Sydney: The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Q Theatre, Lewers: Penrith Regional Gallery and the Penrith Conservatorium of Music. We make serious culture in a part of Sydney most of the city underestimates, for a region of 2.5 million people that will pass 3 million within a decade.

About the role:

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to run the digital side of our marketing across The Joan and Penrith Regional Gallery, with support to Q Theatre and the Conservatorium. Paid media, search and social.

You will plan and run paid campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads for a season of shows at The Joan and a program of exhibitions at the Gallery, set them up to measure real outcomes, and report on what the money did. You will own our search presence: SEO on our websites, Google Business listings for four venues, and the AI search channels that are starting to decide whether people find us at all. You will build audience segments in ENTA and Mailchimp and turn them into targeted campaigns.

You will keep our social channels and content running, produce short-form video when a show or exhibition needs it, launch TikTok for the organisation, and build the Canva templates that keep four programs looking like one organisation. You will also quote, deliver and reconcile the marketing services we sell to hirers who bring their own shows to The Joan.

You will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with box office, venue services, the Gallery’s curatorial team and The Joan’s programming team. It is a small team with a lot on. You will be trusted to take a campaign from brief to build to results, and to tell us what to change next time.

About you:

If you have a couple of years in digital marketing, hands-on experience running paid social and search campaigns, a working knowledge of SEO and analytics, and a real interest in theatre, music or visual art, we would love to hear from you. Arts sector experience helps.

How to apply

Applicants should submit a CV and a two-page cover letter addressing this brief: Look at The Joan and Penrith Regional Gallery online, on Meta and on Google, then tell us the three things you would do first across paid media and search, and how you would launch and run TikTok for The Joan. Links to your own campaigns or content are welcome.

Applications can be submitted to ppvarecruitment@ppandva.com.au. For a confidential conversation about the role, contact Lauren O’Neill lauren.oneill@ppandva.com.au .
