Penrith Performing and Visual Arts (PP&VA) invites individual artists, artist groups and arts workers across the wider creative communities of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains to register their details with us.

This register assists PP&VA with being able to offer artists and arts workers the opportunity to attend events at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre (The Joan) and Lewers Penrith Regional Gallery (Lewers) and to facilitate sector professional development and networking.

By signing up to the PP&VA Artist and Arts Worker Register you will receive the following benefits:
  • A regular e-news from PP&VA sharing creative opportunities, events and resources
  • Free and discounted tickets to performances, talks, masterclasses and workshops at The Joan and Lewers
  • Access to discounted rehearsal and performance spaces
  • Invitations and access to exclusive artist, industry and professional development events at The Joan and Lewers
  • The opportunity to meet with like-minded artists and arts workers, to collaborate and network
  • The chance to learn about opportunities within PP&VA and with Penrith City Council, and express your interest for artistic projects
  • An artist is a person who creates works of performing or visual arts, who is paid for their artistic practice, whose practice contributes to the development of art and culture, and who is recognised as an emerging or established professional artist by their peers.
  • An arts worker is a person who works professionally in the performing or visual arts and contributes directly to the processes of making art – but is not necessarily an ‘artist’. These include stage managers, production managers, lighting, sound, set and costume makers and designers, arts marketers, producers, curators and programmers.
