Made in the West will be finishing its 14th annual short film festival in spectacular style: with a Closing Night Party on Saturday 28 February in the Borland Sound Lounge at The Joan in Penrith.
Arrive at 7pm for a fun night of filmmaker awards, interviews, and award-winning short films. We’ll announce the results of our annual Genre Awards, plus the winner of the 2025 People’s Choice Award – your favourite film of the season – and send them home with a $3,500 prize package, courtesy of Panavision.
We’ll also announce this year’s winner of the Outstanding Female Filmmaker award and mentorship package thanks to WIFT, plus our new Rising Star Award which has an amazing prize pack featuring creative business advice, a headshot photography package, and a bespoke ‘Go Global’ mentorship from Australians In Film, all thanks to our wonderful sponsors.
