A Premier Venue for Music & Performance

The Richard Bonynge Concert Hall (RBCH) is a premier 550-seat venue, expertly designed for exceptional acoustics and an immersive audience experience.

Featuring acoustically treated walls, a state-of-the-art LED lighting system, a full-coverage PA, and advanced AV capabilities, the RBCH offers a versatile, high-quality setting for live music concerts, theatre and dance performances, and public speaking engagements.

With its polished hardwood stage, tiered seating, side galleries, and dedicated choir position, the hall is perfectly equipped to accommodate a wide range of performances. Home to the Penrith Symphony Orchestra (PSO) and Penrith Youth Orchestra (PYO), the RBCH delivers a well-controlled live acoustic profile, ideal for both amplified and unamplified performances.

Stage & Performance Features

  • Polished hardwood stage floor (13m W x 8m D, 1.2m high from the auditorium floor)
  • Un-raked stage with solid painted concrete walls, masked by black curtains on all sides
  • Customizable wing space and masking available upon request
  • Backstage access from both stage right and stage left
  • Stage access from the auditorium via side doors or temporary stairs (available on request)
  • Self-supported set pieces only – modifications such as drilling, painting, or tie-downs are not permitted
