For its big 35th year, Blue Mountains Nepean Dance Festival returns to The Joan
Each year the festival invites public schools in the Blue Mountains and Nepean River districts, both primary and high schools, to audition and present their dance routines on stage in The Joan’s largest performance space, the Concert Hall.
In 2026, the dance program features 68 schools and 4000 students on stage over five days. The festival is an annual highlight, allowing young people from our local region to experience the collaboration and excitement of preparing and rehearsing their dance routines, and the thrill of performing live.
