Penrith Music Network Forum
Find out what a career in music looks like in the year 2019 and beyond!
Come 24 September 7.30pm – 9pm, join us for the Penrith Music Network Forum. This forum will demystify the music industry, identify career paths and options, and will offer free advice while discovering the musical diversity of our own backyard. The panel will discuss what a career in music looks like in the year 2019 and beyond. Expect to receive tips on gigging, recording, career paths, options for training, industry support and how to access it.
The panel consists of Dimity Mullane (City Project Officer Penrith City Council), Emily Collins (Managing Director Music NSW), Phil Stormer (Stormer Music), Waldo Garrido (Lecturer in Music Performance & Music Production at WSU), Philip Mortlock (Origin Music), Alex Whichello (Guitar & Percussion Tutor Penrith Conservatorium of Music).
Prior to the forum from 5.30pm – 6.30pm, Western Sydney University will also present an Improvisation Workshop led by world class musicians, Waldo Garrido (bass), Ed Goyer (piano & vibraphone) and Ed Rodriques (drums & percussion).
Refreshments will be provided after the Improvisation Workshop. Suitable for all artists, managers, students or emerging professionals.
