2019 NSW State Band Championship

On the weekend of 24 /25 August, Penrith will come alive with the sounds of brass and wind band music at 'The Joan'.  

*Please note that pre-sales have now closed. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door only on the day of the performance.*

Presented by The Band Association of NSW, this is an event not to be missed with Brass,Woodwind and percussionists from all over NSW will congregate to participate in the Annual State Band Championships.

There will be 62 bands competing with approximately 2,500 performers, battling it out over the two days to be crowned the 2019 State Champions in their respective sections.

Two very talented interstate adjudicators in Phillipa Edwards (VIC) and Dale Pointon (WA) will be presiding over the contest and have the difficult task of selecting the winners and will also be involved in some workshops during the weekend.

To further add to the excitement, on the Saturday evening, the best soloists in the State will be ‘slugging it out’ to be named Open Concert and Brass Champion of Champions.

NOTE: All tickets are full day passes and they can be used across both venues.

Online sales will close at 4 pm on Friday 23 August and advance ticket buyers will be
informed of the collection of wrist bands for each day before they access the theatres.

Tickets (wrist bands) will be available for sale each day at the box office during the event.
