ONLINE AUTHOR TALK WITH ALISON LESTER
Join us for an exclusive online talk with multi award-winning children’s author and illustrator, Alison Lester AM, to celebrate Are We There Yet? playing at The Joan these April School Holidays.
During this special event, Alison will chat about her inspiration and creative process, particularly in regards to her 2004 children’s picture book, Are We There Yet? (Winner, Picture Book of the Year, 2005 Children’s Book Council Awards; Flagship Book for Australia’s National Year of Reading).

DRAMA WORKSHOPS: ROAD TRIP TALES FOR AGES 5+
If you took a trip around Australia, what sort of people do you think you would meet? Pack the car and embark on a theatrical odyssey across Australia!
Join us for an exclusive drama workshop before or after you see Are We There Yet? at The Joan.
Exploring the themes of the play, this fun-filled workshop will encourage participants to create their own stories about going on a journey and the people they meet along the way.
With guidance from Q Theatre’s professional teaching artists, participants will learn fundamental performance and improvisation skills, and maybe pick up some new friends along the way!
