Position: Manager, Q Theatre

Part-time ongoing, 22.5 hours per week

Hybrid work – Penrith office at The Joan

$80,000 plus Superannuation and Leave Loading (pro rata)

Penrith Performing & Visual Arts is seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager for Q Theatre. Based at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith, this pivotal role is integral to the success of our diverse program offerings, including creative participation and education initiatives such as Studio Q, The Riff, and other artist development and creation programs. The Manager will also support our presentation and schools engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee and lead Q Theatre’s creative participation and education programs, ensuring their smooth and successful delivery.
  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of project delivery, demonstrating flexibility and excellent organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technical, and venue teams to coordinate and execute projects and programs.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with funding agencies and industry partners, preparing proposals and applications for future programming.
  • Creative and Strategic Thinking: Apply innovative and strategic approaches to enhance the theatre’s offerings and engagement with the community.
