The Midnight Gang

Don’t miss award-winning author, David Walliams’ best-selling book come to life on stage in a celebration of friendship, love and the power of imagination.

Twelve year old Tom unexpectedly finds himself lonely and lost in the children’s ward of St Crook’s Hospital, away from his family and at the mercy of evil Matron. Tom feels like he’ll never leave, but his fellow young patients have other ideas. They might be stuck in hospital, but their imaginations can take them anywhere as The Midnight Gang.

Each night when the clock strikes midnight, The Midnight Gang go on a series of amazing journeys as they turn the hospital into the places they’ve always wanted to go and make dreams come true.

Join the team behind The 13-, 26-, 52-, 78- and 91-Storey Treehouses, Mr Stink and Billionaire Boy for this magical adventure, jam-packed full of heart-warming characters and witty humour.

Join in the fun and celebrate the mighty Midnight Gang coming to The Joan with our pyjama party!

Dress up in your best pyjamas and slippers and bring along your favourite soft toy to the evening performances of The Midnight Gang for your chance to win a magical prize pack. One audience member will be awarded the ‘Best Dressed Prize’ per night on Thursday 18 March and Friday 19 March 2021.

The winners will receive a copy of David Walliams’ latest book, Code Name Bananas and a double pass to see a performance of Hamlet: Prince of Skidmark at The Joan in the Winter School Holidays.

In accordance with NSW Health regulations The Joan is operating at 75% of capacity from 7 December 2020.

The easing of restrictions includes the removal of physical distancing requirements in seated indoor venues, with mask-wearing strongly recommended.

There will be no vacant seats between bookings in seated indoor venues for all tickets sold from Friday 11 December. If your ticket was purchased prior to this date, and this change is problematic for you, please get in touch by email (boxoffice@penrith.city) or phone (02) 4723 7600.

It is the responsibility of every individual to help stop the spread of COVID-19. If you have experienced cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days, have a temperature and/or been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, it is our right to refuse you entry into our venue. The health and safety of our patrons and staff is extremely important to us. Please contact us before your event if any of the above applies to you.
