Open Fridays – Jordan C Thomas

Relax and unwind in the Borland Lounge this Friday with the smooth tunes of Jordan C. Thomas!

Taking his cues from the underground up, Jordan C Thomas is like stepping into the jazz clubs of yesteryear or juke joints of the prohibition era. Commanding the sound of a big band, Jordan’s 6 piece ensemble works in the realms Jazz, Swing and Rockabilly, providing a familiar yet unique offering.

Sharing stages with such luminaries as Royal Crown Revue, the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Mojo Juju has given the band the experience and ability to take on any event with power and suavity. Put on some dancing/drinking shoes and join Jordan into the night.

Why not make a night of it and see the classic film The Sentimental Bloke featuring live piano accompaniment by Ian Munro at 7pm.

Admission to the film screening is free and tickets are not required. You’re welcome to just walk right in, sit back and enjoy the film screening. And don’t miss out on some fine tapas while you’re at it.

Tapas Menu $6 a plate (indicative – may change due to availability of produce):

  • Spanish Olives
  • Cream Cheese Stuffed Peppers
  • Corn Chips with Avocado dip and Pico de Gallo
  • Apricot and Almond cream cheese served with Water Crackers
  • Saucy Chorizo Bites
  • Truffle Polenta Chips served with Salsa rosada

Doors open from 5pm, and while finishing times may vary, the timing will be perfect if you’re seeing a show, going out locally for dinner, or just popping in for a post-work drink before the weekend. Generally it’ll be last drinks by 7.30pm.
