A seductive serenade and contrasting symphonies showcase the strings of PSO, with the winds joining the party for Mozart’s majestic, Symphony No. 39.

Amongst the best known of all Mozart, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is paired with the first of his final three symphonies, a trio of works all composed in quick succession over the summer of 1788.

Benjamin Britten’s youthful and exuberant, Simple Symphony rounds out the program. Based on a series of musical themes and fragments from the composer’s youth, Britten weaves a colourfully varied yet concise work, sure to delight all listeners.
